MyMeter is a user interface for utilities and customers to view their consumption data and statistics. MyMeter can link to Demand Response programs such as Time of Use, Capacity Bidding and Dynamic Pricing.
MyMeter is a user interface for utilities and customers to view their consumption data and statistics. MyMeter utilises data from the Meter Data Warehouse (MDW) to provide detailed reports and graphs on usage. Comparison graphs with average consumption and customised energy tips based on the customer’s actual energy usage help the customer identify areas where they can save energy.
MyMeter can also be linked to Demand Response programs such as Time of Use, Capacity Bidding and Dynamic Pricing. MyMeter allows the customer to set limits or schedules for HVAC/light bank cycling, thermostat setbacks, chillers/fan/motor/load controls. Over-ride options are also available to ensure that the customer’s work or comfort is not affected and to give the system greater flexibility of operation.
MyMeter receives the demand response (DRAS) signal from the utility and automatically follows the pre-set schedule. My Meter also handles Locational Marginal Pricing (LMP), Critical Peak Pricing (CPP) & Time of Use pricing with specialised algorithms to minimize the cost escalation and maximize the savings related to Dynamic pricing.
Automation of schedules for DRAS ensures higher rate of adherence to the demand response programs and increased energy conservation benefits. The customer is also made aware of the actual consumption, both in terms of the energy and money spent. This helps the customer become more energy conscious, resulting in total savings of around 5-10% in energy bills.
